On this day in 1983, The Kinks released their 19th studio album titled ‘State Of Confusion.’ Released on the Arista label and recorded at Konk Studios in London, the album was produced by Kinks leader and front-man Ray Davies.
The album featured one of the band’s biggest hit songs with ‘Come Dancing,’ which reached 36 on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart, and the single ‘Don’t Forget To Dance’ also reached number 23. There have been seven reissues of the album, each featuring four bonus tracks, but the 12-inch mix of ‘Come Dancing’ is only available on vinyl. The song ‘State Of Confusion’ was also released as a single and cracked the Hot 100.
