I also miss those days especially on things like open mic nights or short notice gigs but it usually takes me somewhere between an hour and an hour and 45 minutes to get my sound is set up. And then I go out and sit with the soundman and go through all of my surroundings and make sure he and I both agree that they sounded like they should
Doesn’t always make me friends and new clubs the supply house sound but we usually works it out once he hears what I’m trying to do he usually catches on or is a lazy SOB and it just looks like extra work to him

And instead of getting frustrated on those nights I am mix everything up to my 24 channel pre-Sonus and I sent them a left and a right
